"Made in Germany" stands not for Quality, it stands for "proportion of value added" in Germany.
If I buy some Taiwanplastikspeedo for 5 € and put it in a nice aluminiumhousing (Made in China), a new sticker with new name on and sell it for 50 € to You, its "Made in Grmany", because it´s a significant alteration in Germany ;-)
If 30% of the parts are from german manufaktors it´s "Made in Germany" anyway.
And these delivering manufaktors can name it "Made in Germany" when they reach this 30% to.
Think about it ;-) and "Don´t worry!" most parts work.

Yes, they are ok. These speedos are produced by MMB in East Germany, they were quite popular in the 90s but loosing more and more market shares to the company Motogadget from Berlin in recent years.

Wow that would be the most expensive thing on my bike.
I am opting for the old look but I do not like digital or LED's.
Modern technology won't work with this look.
The choice for Mini speedos 1:1 mechanical are limiting me.
